Natural Hair Celebrity

Pre-poo, co-wash, plopping, sealing, BC (big chop) and, 2nd day hair is jargon that may be a bit perplexing to those outside the natural hair community, in which I’ve been a part of for over a year now. This community has been a great deal of help and support when I needed it. The amount of members within it is growing rapidly. I can’t go a day now without seeing someone rocking natural tresses and it makes me feel that I’m not alone in my journey and, is inspiring because I don’t feel pressured to conform within this mainstream society. Celebrities that I’m noticing are also joining the movement but some have been a part of it for a good amount of years. Since I’ve become natural myself I have appreciated beauty a bit more and all of its many aspects. Here is a highlight of black celebrities wearing their hair natural.
The young and beautiful
I have been following Salonge since she made the switch and, have to admit that she has become my natural hair crush. I just discovered this picture of her sister Beyonce’ and had to show you guys. Don’t know for an absolute fact whether she is or ever has been natural throughout her career but it looks good on her.

Poster child
I love this picture of Ms. Erykah Badu I can’t wait until my hair grows to be this big. She is definitely the poster child for natural hair and, has been for many tears.

Curly haired Angel
Annie Llonzeh is her name and fighting crime is her game this fall, at least on the comeback of that hit ‘70s show “Charlie’s Angels”.

Blast from the past
Do you remember this face? Yes, it’s Karyn Parson but better known as Ms. Hillary Banks from “The Fresh Prince of Bellaire”. I always admired her curls growing up but to find out that her curls were actually texturized all the way until last summer.

I know you recognize this face ladies, even if you don’t know his real name. Gary Dourdon from recent movie “Jumping the Broom” use to rock dreads but cut it off in recent years. It definitely didn’t take away from his handsomely good looks. Wouldn’t you agree?

50 cent is even trying out the TWA (teeny, weeny afro) for size. So FashionOHMY and, Knaps Unisex salon wonder if being natural is even unconventional anymore because it’s catching on like wild fire.

Mr.Legend and Mr.Kravitz make growning your hair out for black men a new and sexy trend.
